The Retreat at Westlock
Type: Senior Housing (62+ and older)
Total Units: 140
Harris County Housing Authority (HCHA) has proposed a public-private partnership to build a 140 unit development exclusively for seniors age 62 years and older. The development is not funded with HUD Section 8 or Housing Choice Vouchers. HCHA currently has seven existing developments for seniors, and HCHA agreed to the higher age limit of 62 years and older for all household members in response to concerns raised by community advocates. Proposed rents at the development will range from $390 to $936. Once completed, the development will manage its own wait list for seniors earning 60% of the area median income or lower. The development will be privately managed, and compliance will be enforced both by the State of Texas and Harris County. For more information, please see our development overview.
